2005 has been really good to me so far. 

TAX SEASON jan-apr 2005 <-- had a great internship opportunity.  My first tax season experience had been brilliant and had indeed confirmed my passion for accounting. 

OXFORD apr-july 2005 <-- Oxford was magical.  It was fantastic.  I love Oxford.  I love everything about Oxford-- the bloody university, the architecture, the clubs, the bar inside the colleges, the harry-potter-like-dinning halls, my flat, my flatmates, my mates, the students, the DJs .   I believe that I had grown and matured so much in all aspects of life during the course of trinity term than I had all the years I spent in college.  It has taught me that learning for the sake of learning is pathetic.  Working towards a goal and sacrificing for a passion is most admirable.  I have learned to think critically in a given situation, from reading essays and articles written by scholars in the field of study instead of merely absorbing and believing what one has been told.  And being surrounded by elites of students who all have the burning desire to shine and excel really motivated me.  These are people with ambition and have common sense and share the concern of much bigger and better things such as politics and current events.  A change of scence was precisely what I needed.  One must then be under the impression that Oxford students are nerds.  Untrue.  Clubs operate every night of the week and it is always wicked fun.  It is the fountain of youth as Tania puts it because there is so much energy.  I miss it terribly.  And I would give anything in the world to go back there to do another semester.  (MBA at Oxford has now been factored into my future plans.)

Crazy weekend.  Debit HOT times.  Credit sleep time.  Sigma formal.  Nu alpha phi party.  The drive to Rutgers.  Pinching cheeks.  Drive back to Maryland.  Stinky boys in the back seat.  Car rental.  Pris is a fucking trooper.  (mad props girl)  Driving on the beach.  Hottie hunting with elmo.  Shot glasses.  Shopping.  Juicy gossips.  It was swweeellll.

Wow, time flies.  I still remember our very first meeting as an IG.  I still remember our car washes/meetings/dinners etc. as the Society of Asian Sisters.  Little did I know would the IG become something so strong and precious, I was very lucky to have decided to join.  But either way, it was more like friends coming together and working on bringing diversity and noise to the Asian community.  Pledging and whatnot is now a blur…but pledging the alphas was memorable.  Betas, even more memorable… (mah babies)  I am just really thankful to have all of you in my life.  You all will always have a place in my heart.. It’s only been one year, and we are 21 strong.  Can’t wait for the years to come…and since I’ll be here for an extra year, I’ll actually be around until the ETA CLASS cross (if and when of course).  Just thinking about it makes me feel old.  I am already a grandbig, if my line keeps growing every semester, Great X 5-Grandbig….yiiiiiikes.. oh lala.  Next semester will be very interesting…and sad… it’ll be my first semester away from my family and my Sigmas… *sigh*  Cold, lonely, homesick in Oxford…  I will miss you girls so much
